GTM Strategy & Operations

I work with B2B SaaS founders and leadership teams on who to target, how to acquire the right customers, and where to invest across channels, people, and technology.

Available for fractional and project-based work.

Operating experience

I joined Elate pre-revenue and helped build its GTM motion from the ground up through Series A. Over five years, my role expanded into company-wide Strategy & Operations leadership.

GTM strategy

Building the GTM motion from zero

With no established GTM playbook, the starting point was defining an initial ideal customer profile (ICP), positioning, messaging, and approach to acquisition. I helped build that foundation, including the channel tests, tool selection, qualification, and GTM systems needed to put it into practice.

Prospect conversations, conversion data, wins and losses, and customer behavior shaped the next decisions. Later, I led a broader ICP and vertical strategy reset using new-business performance, product engagement, retention, expansion, and market opportunity to sharpen targeting, messaging, and sales execution.

Acquisition & investment

Finding and scaling the acquisition mix

With the initial GTM foundation in place, the next challenge was figuring out which acquisition motions could create repeatable pipeline. The work expanded across outbound, paid acquisition through LinkedIn, Google, and Capterra, and later SEO and AI-search visibility.

The emphasis increasingly moved toward economics rather than activity: connecting channel spend to customer fit and downstream conversion, understanding where additional investment was justified, and changing tactics when the evidence did not support them.

Along the way, I scaled Sales Development from 1 to 10+ reps, with responsibility for hiring, onboarding, playbooks, coaching, workflows, and measurement.

Inbound qualified-opportunity volume grew approximately 8× in under 12 months during an earlier phase of that acquisition build.

Revenue strategy & operations

Turning growth goals into an operating plan

As the company scaled, the work increasingly moved upstream from individual acquisition programs to how the business planned and managed revenue. Working across Finance and GTM, I translated targets into capacity and pipeline requirements, built forecasting and pacing frameworks, improved visibility across new business and customer growth, and helped leadership understand where performance was diverging from plan.

Sales process, qualification, deal stages, and review routines evolved alongside the planning model so the operating system reflected how the business actually needed to run.

AI & GTM technology

Finding practical uses for AI inside GTM

As AI capabilities matured, the question was less whether the GTM team should use AI and more where it could improve the way the team worked. I led efforts around AI-enabled workflows, automation, and API integrations, alongside broader evaluation of the GTM technology stack.

The goal was practical: identify where technology could improve prioritization, execution, or operating leverage rather than adding tools for their own sake.

When to bring me in

We have customers, but need a sharper focus.

Refine the ICP, identify priority segments, clarify positioning and messaging, and decide which GTM approach to test next.

We need to know where our growth investment is working.

Evaluate paid acquisition, SEO and AI-search visibility, and channel-to-pipeline performance to decide what to improve, fund, or stop.

We’re ready to build beyond founder-led sales.

Translate the strategy into targeting, acquisition, qualification, sales process, and team responsibilities.

Leadership needs a more reliable view of revenue.

Improve pipeline definitions, forecasting, reporting, planning, and the operating routines behind them.

We need AI and our GTM tools to deliver more value.

Assess current tools and workflows, choose useful AI applications, plan implementation, and define how adoption and impact will be measured.

Focused projects

A defined strategic decision or operating challenge, with an agreed scope and clear deliverables.

Fractional partnerships

Ongoing ownership of agreed GTM priorities, working with leadership and the team from decisions through execution and review.

A little background

My career started with prospecting, buyer conversations, and learning why deals moved or stalled. That included a Sales Development Lead role at Greenlight Guru before Elate.

My later work at Elate spanned GTM, Finance, Customer Experience, and Product. That experience shapes how I work today: understand the business question, examine the evidence, and stay close enough to execution to see whether the approach is working.
